Filming permits in Turkey can be complex, involving multiple government agencies depending on your locations. CAVEA FILM manages the entire process, leveraging our long-standing relationships with Turkish authorities.We handle applications for the Ministry of Culture, municipality offices, Directorate of Foundations, military zones, and the Turkish Film Commission cash rebate program.

Permit Types

Different locations require different permits. We handle them all.

Municipal Permits

Standard city filming permits — typically 5-10 business days. Required for most urban locations.

Heritage & Archaeological Sites

Special permits for historical locations — 15-30 days. Hagia Sophia, Ephesus, Cappadocia, etc.

Military Zone Clearance

Required for locations near military installations or border areas — 30-45 days.

Tax Rebate Application

Up to 30% cash rebate through the Turkish Film Commission on qualifying production expenses.

Work Permits

Temporary work permits for foreign cast and crew entering Turkey for production.

Drone Permits

Civil aviation authority approval for aerial filming — required for all commercial drone operations.
